Melissa has trained over 500 hours within the It’s Yoga™ Ashtanga program in San Francisco, Puerto Rico and Stockholm.
Her fitness background includes core training, Pilates, gymnastics and specialized workshops for DIR Fitness in Barcelona. Additionally, Melissa practices and utilizes Vippassana meditation in her practice.
Violante Binazzi
Violante has trained 200 hours within Yoga Alliance International (YAI) at 19r studio in Florence, Italy. Additionally, she is a certified instructor for kids and teenagers.
Yoga and Ayurvedic studies led her to investigate more deeply into herself. Her training background also includes a degree in art history. Violante believes that the combination of yoga and art are wonderful tools to stay in the present moment.
Michelle is a 500-hr Master level teacher of Transformational Hatha Yoga, Pranayama & Meditation and has trained under the direct guidance of Swami Vidyanand at Srima School in New Delhi, India. In addition, she is the co-director of Yoga Alliance International, Europe. Michelle earned her 200-hr TT certificate in Ashtanga in 2010. She also works with private clients and conducts workshops in Italy, Greece and India.
David Regelin is an NYC-based teacher, teaching at KULA YOGA PROJECT, who offers highly creative and challenging Vinyasa-based classes. The creator of the 'Multi-Intenso' brand of yoga, a class style which uses the techniques of the physical practice to access the more esoteric/spiritual possibilities of the practitioner. He brings an authenticity to his teaching and hopes to bring an intelligent contribution to the evolving vinyasa tradition.
Shari discovered the positive and unlimited effects of a consistent yoga practice over nine years ago. Her journey included various disciplines, but, it wasn't until Ashtanga that she found her true yoga passion. She hopes through her teaching she can inspire others with the grace and love that she has found. Her style is fun, playful and always challenging!
Donovan studied for many years with the founder of It's Yoga, Larry Schultz and the It's Yoga school in California before going on to lead numerous 200-hour teacher trainings and workshops worldwide. Hundreds of students have benefitted from the incredible knowledge of Donovan and his dedicated and inspirational practice. Donovan helps students of all levels learn to "float and fly!"
Hanna lived in Germany, India, and the UK before falling in love with Florence in 1994. Yoga has always been an important part of her life and she completed her Yoga Alliance Certified teacher training for adults, kids and teenagers. And this passion for yoga can now be translated into something she can share with as many children, teenagers and families as possible.
Casey comes from a strong active background of cardio fitness, kickboxing and horseback riding and got involved in yoga more than 4 years ago. She found the benefits through her practice in calming her mind and breath. Casey encourages students to find their spectacular qualities inside and out and they are often surprised at how they can begin to do things that they never thought possible, leading to more beauty and confidence on and off their mats.
Lauren began practicing yoga four years ago on the beaches of Long Island, New York. The beautiful, natural flow of Ashtanga made her fall in love with the practice as a physical and spiritual experience. Upon arriving in Florence in the fall of 2010, and through the guidance of Melissa, Shari & Donovan, Lauren deepened her practice and recently completed the 200 hr TT program at 19r.
Josslyn has practiced yoga consistently since 2007. A back injury in late 2008 left her with chronic pain. She completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2010 where she learned how to modify her yoga practice and manage her physical pain. Yoga continues to be an integral part of her life, and her desire now is to help new and tentative students discover a yoga practice that works for them.
Sally Love is a Natural Nutritionist and Soul-Health Consultant. Her belief is that in order to create complete well-being, the physical, emotional, mental & spiritual aspects of ourselves need to be focused on at the same time. Meditation, visualisation, affirmations, emotional writing and various other creative & practical techniques support Sally’s approach where nutrition plays a core role.
Throughout her career as a Certified Master Pilates Instructor, Erica has trained some of the most inspirational, professional Athletes and Olympic hopefuls all across, North America and Great Britain. Her unique training method will enhance all fitness abilities and levels.
Her passion and background is Classical Pilates. She believes in acute body awareness and a deep mind-body spiritual connection that enables us to tap into our bodies’ restorative potential.
I strive to ensure all my students achieve their personal goals whether it is injury prevention, core stabilization, weight loss, postnatal strengthening, rehabilitation, or increasing athletic performance. Most of all, the education I leave you with is life changing in itself. I have over 13 years experience in the fitness industry, and I believe whole heartedly that this way of life "changed" my life. Dennis was certified in Pilates Mats and Apparatus in 2002 in Atlanta, Georgia. She moved to Florence to fulfill a lifelong dream and opened up Body Language Pilates & Yoga Studio in Florence in 2005. Her focus is always about the body in front of her to ensure students walk away from classes feeling empowered, eager to progress and poised for great results.
Kathryn is from Scotland and has spent the last few years travelling & practicing physiotherapy and teaching Pilates in Italy, New Zealand, Australia and England. Qualified first as a physiotherapist in 2004, she took her love for movement and exercise to a new level certifying as a Pilate’s instructor in London. Not only does she enjoy the benefits of Pilates, but also loves to share her knowledge.
Andrea was introduced to yoga over twelve years ago, and immediately rekindled her childhood love as a competitive gymnast. Her study of Ashtanga, Anusara, Jivamukti, Bikram and Iyengar styles of yoga, coupled with Viynasa Yoga teaching certifications have enabled her to develop a unique combination of knowledge and ability which translates into a challenging yet accessible practice for students of all levels.
